  • Mike Laughery

    Director of Partner Services

    As the Director of Partner Services for PartnersEdge and its parent company, Catholic Finance Corporation, Mike brings over 30 years of financial, sales, and operational management experience in private and nonprofit marketplaces. His ability to build collaboration and provide unique acumen and vision integrates well with his zeal to serve the church and help clients move toward financial strength.

     

    Prior to joining Catholic Finance Corporation and PartnersEdge, Mike was the Business Administrator for a large suburban church and school and the Vice President of Producer Services at The National Pork Board (the other white meat) in Des Moines, Iowa.

     

    Mike served on his parish's finance council and as a parish pastoral council chair. A graduate of Iowa State University, Ames, Mike holds an MBA in leadership and change management from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota.


  • Judy Logan

    Managing Director

    Judy has consulted for PartnersEdge clients since its inception and currently acts as Managing Director of Catholic Finance Corporation (CFC). As a CPA, she brings over 30 years of accounting experience, including public and private accounting, tax, and nonprofit work. With Judy's depth of knowledge and personable approach, clients rely on her expertise in both parish and school finances. 


    With a particular focus on Catholic schools, Judy is committed to meaningful reporting and maintaining current nonprofit accounting standards. She participated in a task force that developed a roadmap for stabilizing and strengthening Catholic schools, among other activities in this area. She also assists clients with budgeting, cash forecasting, and financial analysis.


    Before joining CFC, Judy worked as a parish administrator. She has served on finance councils, school boards, and in various school volunteer positions. Judy has an undergraduate degree in accounting and a master's degree in nonprofit management.


  • Dennis Cheesebrow

    Senior Consultant

    With more than 20 years of serving the education, faith, government, business, and human service marketplaces, Dennis Cheesebrow brings broad experience in coaching, consulting, leadership, and systems development. Clients appreciate his direct style sprinkled with humor, and a deep appreciation for human dynamics and potential. 


    In the Catholic Church, Dennis served on many councils and committees. He also developed and facilitated diocesan-wide pastoral and Catholic school planning initiatives, assessment and redesign of Diocesan Offices and consultative structures , and operational assessment, improvement and transition management services. Through individualized coaching, he has supported pastors, principals and ministry directors.


    In 2012, Dennis authored the book, Partnership; Redefined: Leadership through the Power of &, as well as the Educational Leadership System Guidebook (2009) and the FrameWorks Guidebook (2009). He was a contributing author to the book, Voices From The Field: An Introduction to Human Systems Dynamics in 2003. He holds three U.S. Patents from his 17 years at 3M as an engineer, research laboratory manager and marketing/business manager before founding TeamWorks International, Inc.

  • Dorfha Vang

    Financial Analytical Lead

    Dorfha joined Catholic Finance (CFC) in 2007 and PartnersEdge at its founding. Her primary responsibilities include providing analytical support to the Financial Consultants, creating and maintaining our computerized financial models, assisting with client needs, and monitoring loan portfolios. Dorfha comes to us from a major financial advisory firm where she was a project manager and financial analyst for six years. Prior to that, Dorfha spent seven years in customer service for a large insurance firm. Dorfha holds a BA in Business Management from Bethel University.

  • Mary Vang

    Financial Analyst

    Mary has been a PartnersEdge team member since 2015 and CFC staff since 2013. Her primary role includes assisting and supporting the analytical staff supervisor and the financial consultants. She specializes in creating and maintaining necessary financial models that allows PartnersEdge to serve its clients effectively. Prior to joining CFC, Mary worked for CenturyLink for 11 years, where her most recent role was as an analyst. Mary has a BA in management and a master's degree in business administration from Concordia University. In her free time, Mary enjoys cooking and spending time with friends and family.

  • Phillip Boelter

    Financial Consultant

    Phil has been involved with PartnersEdge since its inception, bringing almost 30 years of service in both finance and ministry to clients seeking fiscal advice and assistance with building projects and operational planning. He has worked as a senior advisor for Catholic Finance Corporation for over 15 years. Before joining CFC in 2006, Phil served as Director of the Archbishop's Annual Catholic Appeal for the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Prior to that, he worked for seven years as a business banker in the Twin Cities, assisting closely held businesses with lending and other financial needs. Phil also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Northwestern Seminary and began his career as a Lutheran pastor before pursuing post-graduate study in Theology at the University of Notre Dame.

  • Jim Weiland

    Financial Consultant

    Jim joined PartnersEdge and its parent company, Catholic Finance Corporation, as a Financial Consultant with ample experience and insights. In addition to 13 years in accounting, financial management, and operations, Jim worked for a board governance consulting firm for five years, focusing on nonprofits and Catholic schools.

    Over the past five years, Jim served as Business Administrator at Church of the Annunciation in South Minneapolis and, most recently, St. John the Baptist in Savage, both parishes with schools. He contributed as a member of the finance council at his home parish, where he is still active with his wife Julie and their three children.


  • Amanda Braith

    Operations Manager

    Amanda has been a part of the PartnersEdge and Catholic Finance (CFC) teams since their formation and for nearly her entire career. As the third CFC employee hired in 2002, she helped bring CFC’s mission to fruition by creating structure and procedures in those first five years of growth. She took a three-year hiatus using her expertise in the management of another nonprofit.

    She is an operations professional, well-versed in the nonprofit and financial consulting industries. Her duties range from bookkeeping to leveraging technology to ensure quality control. Amanda is a core player, ensuring that all runs effectively and proficiently.

  • Lisa Zimmerman

    Marketing/Communications Lead

    Lisa transitioned to PartnersEdge and Catholic Finance (CFC) in 2018 after home-educating three children and serving as a stay-at-home “manager” and a sometimes-fitness-instructor. Before that, Lisa was a Broadcast Production Manager for BBDO Minneapolis Advertising. She is utilizing her administrative and project management skills to enhance CFC’s interactions with its clients.

    Lisa thrives on the written word, entertaining guests, and time with her family. She is also active in a local Catholic lay community.

  • Matt Pohl

    Geospatial Technology Manager

    Matt began working with TeamWorks International in March of 2010. He has a B.S. in geography from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse and a Masters in GIS (Geographic Information Systems) from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Before joining TeamWorks, Matt was the GIS coordinator for Buffalo County, WI. Matt works hand-in-hand with TeamWorks’ clients in helping them discover relationships within their data and ensuring efficacy in future planning. Matt is responsible for the development, deployment and administration of Insight Online, TeamWorks’ web-based mapping and analytical tool.

  • Rich Swanson

    Research Analyst

    Rich joined TeamWorks International in the fall of 2009 as the manager of our Insight Research Department. He holds a B.S. in geology from Winona State University and a Masters in geography from Hunter College of the City University in New York. Rich’s extensive background and experience in private business, military, government, k-12 public education, post-secondary education, faith-based organizations and various non-profit industries has allowed him to develop unique insight and a system approach to serving a wide range of client needs. Rich also serves as faculty at Southeast Technical College where he teaches courses on Physical and World Regional Geography.
